YOUR COACH

Coaching can be arranged face to face or on the phone / via Skype, depending on where you live. If you live in the same geographical area, face-to-face coaching may be easy to set-up. Otherwise, I will arrange telephone coaching or Skype coaching. Most of my coaching is done over the phone or via Skype (or Zoom) as it is convenient for both parties and it is very efficient.

Typically, each coaching session lasts for 45 minutes, 60 minutes or 90 minutes. Coaching sessions are scheduled weekly, every other week, intensively or whenever you need them! Most people choose weekly sessions.

In simple terms, coaching is a conversation between the coach and the coachee. Coaches help the coachees discover and achieve what they want by asking powerful questions and facilitating the process of the coachee achieving their goals.

“A collaborative solution-focused, results orientated and systematic process in which the coach facilitates the enhancement of work performance, life experience, self-directed learning and personal growth of the coachee” (AC definition of Coaching)

How is coaching different from consulting, counselling and mentoring?

Consultants are paid to give advice and suggest solutions. Coaches do not give advice as a rule. If they did, they would be limiting their clients’ options, and potentially preventing them from seeing other opportunities.

Counselling is reactive and problem-focused. Coaching is proactive and solution-focused. Counselling is about the past, coaching is about where you are now and your future (goal-based). Counselling and therapy move a person from dysfunctional to functional. Coaching moves someone from functional to exceptional.

Mentoring and coaching may use similar skills and approaches but coaching is short-term and task- based and mentoring is a longer-term relationship. The difference can be summarised as follows: "A coach has some great questions for your answers; a mentor has some great answers for your questions".

Yes we do! We use Stripe which automatically converts your currency of choice at the checkout. Select 'Purchase Course' and you'll see this happen like magic. 

If you are not available within 15 minutes of our scheduled start time, then I will deem the session a "no show" and it will be charged accordingly (see below). All appointments scheduled must be cancelled or rescheduled with 24-hours notice to avoid being charged for the session. All cancellations over this time are subject to a fee of 50% of the session cost regardless of the length of the session.

There is some flexibility in this policy for emergency situations but remember a scheduled appointment is time reserved especially for you. And usually if you cancel at the last minute the reserved spot can not be rescheduled.
